I love to get to this point until 8 miles but it's worth it. There's ducks here when you walk all the way 8 miles and there's sign to let you know where to go. Great hike to MASH filming location. Parking lot opens at 8am. Pay by phone app. We parked at the Grasslands hike trailhead just around the corner on Mulholland for free. About a 45min hike one way to the location.

A lot of different trails and not much traffic so we will be coming back probably next week

Hands down, one of the best state parks in all of California! Most recently visited in July, which unfortunately meant the creek was really dry, but otherwise it is such a dream of an environment.
