I first visited this shop in the 1970s as a teenager, and I was shocked by how rude I was treated. Recently — more than 40 years later — I was walking by and decided to take speak inside against my better judgement, and I was treated just as rudely as the time before. If you're looking for someone to treat you poorly, these guys have it down. They also have a nice selection of old records.

This is one of my favorite record stores, it's very old school. They are well organized and the staff tends to be knowledagble on music and conversational. If you're looking for new records this is probably not your best choice. Although some records looked new, most are clearly old which isn't an issue for the average vinyl listener.

I’ve been wanting to come to this store since I started creating a record collection of my own. I walked in and I was mesmerized at first by the sole amount of records and how organized they all were. The lady at the counter told me that they were organized by artist names. But I was taken by surprise by how EXPENSIVE the records were! Many of the records there, elsewhere, would have been priced anywhere between $1-$5 (give or take?). For instance, a Carpenters (Karen & Richard Carpenter) album I bought from an antique store just down the ways was priced at $2.50. At Mr. C’s $25!!! Many old soundtrack/musical albums were even as high as $50!!! If you have patience for bending and kneeing at record shops and rifle through barrels of records like I do, I would suggest going to other local stores and trying your luck there first. Otherwise, I suggest coming here if you cannot find it anywhere else.

This is such a cool record shop - one that's been here forever and is a treasure for this community where Vintage is King. Some people come to visit Mr. C's because it was in the movie "That Thing You Do". If you're a collector - you will find everything here. They have huge collections of LPs and 45's, with a dash of other musical memorabilia. Prices are very high here, but really - when you have such an amazing accumulation - would you give it away? I hope Mr. C's is around for many years to come - this truly is really what going in an old record shop was like and it's hard to find that experience.
