Really nice state park. If you have horses bring them. Campgrounds nice and well maintained.

The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is so much to do there, hiking, walking across new bridge, activities the rangers do for kids and adults. The park is park is clean and well maintained.

Beautiful Park, Great Facilities and EXCEPTIONAL Camp Host. We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and absolutely loved the park. The parking spaces were spacious, the amenities were clean and everyone was super friendly. What took our experience to a whole new level and made THE difference for us was the camp hosts - Paul and Sharon. Paul and Sharon were our "angels." They helped us tremendously in setting up our RV for the first time (we are newbies). Paul and Sharon gave us the tour of the area, were kind, gentle and knowledgeable with all aspects of camping. They are the reason we are coming back next March. We arrived at the park as strangers, and within hours of being there, thanks to Paul and Sharon, felt at home. What AMAZING and beautiful souls they both are. We will always be deeply grateful for their help, guidance and support. Chickasaw is very lucky to have them. 🥰🥰💖💖

Beautiful park that is well maintained!! The cabins look well furnished. Saw many families sitting around enjoying the bonfire pits and playground. The lake is crystal clear - which is rare to find in this area! Can't wait to come back and go hiking!!

Yes. Especially when they reenact the Civil War. The lake has a swimming area, boats to rent & fishing. They also have nice cabins. Call the office or check the Web pages for dates & activities. Also notice picture of annual events

4pm but we called and was told we could check in as early as 2pm.
The main bridge on the lake trail is ADA accessable but the nature trails are not mainly because the tree roots and the smaller bridges all have a step up that might be to big for a wheelchair
