Pleased with how I have grown with the company in less than a year. I couldn’t do it without the support and encouragement from the staff and Clients! Working for Home Instead has been a blessing.

I worked for HISC in the office for over two years and enjoyed every minute of it. Not only did I learn how much the employees at this company care for others, but how much they significantly provide compassion, empathy, trust, and professionalism towards their clients and family members. 100% recommend.

Home Instead has been a pretty good care-giving organization. Most of their caregivers are fine people who go above and beyond. There are occasional hiccups: office doesn't always notify us of changes of personnel (which is hard on my parents) and occasionally the caregiver can be late. But overall we are satisfied with Home Instead's performance.

My father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's several years ago and my mother was his full-time caretaker. When she became ill, Home Instead to the rescue! Roy and his capable team helped with meals, shopping, doctor appointments, housekeeping, and caring for my dad. When my mother was in the hospital for an extended period, they provided 24-hour companionship and care to my father so that my brother and I could focus on everything needed at the hospital. We never had to worry someone wouldn't show up and they brought my father to see my mom every day. My mother has since passed - I still use Home Instead to visit my father in his assisted living situation and help with appointments. I have called Roy many times just to ask for advice; he is a comfort and truly an advocate for seniors in need. I recommend Home Instead without reservation.

Ask you questions regarding your background and any history of you helping seniors or the elderly community
As a caregiver your duties can vary per senior. Your client may need companionship care (play games, garden, cook, light house keeping etc), another client may need additional help in personal care (bathing, grooming, help with med reminders), while some may need specialized care. Without a license you would not be able to drive clients to medical appts, hair appts, or grocery shopping. The job IS very rewarding and worth it, as long as they have clients that do not need a driver. Call the office and speak with the recruiter they are super friendly and helpful. Hope this helped. Good luck!
