Steven Gerard Park is of course part of the 'Fairmont Park Network.' With recent modernization new lights brand new walkways throughout new benches book sharing station and huge ancient trees that have probably been here since the time of Steven Gerard himself. Peaceful clean well maintained neighborhood park for everyday enjoyment. There is a local non-profit group I'll call 'Friends of Steven Gerard Park,' I'm not sure of their official name but that could be it. This group plans events, gatherings, celebrations/parties, throughout the year. A few weeks ago I was there for their spring/easter celebration. And their annual Christmas celebration is always a great time. Santa Claus comes, there's a horse and carriage ride around the park. Cookies, snacks, and other seasonal tests, all for free. This is the neighborhood where I was born and raised and have chosen to raise my family. I've enjoyed this park my entire life and have many fond memories from childhood as well as parenthood. Come enjoy and make life-long memories of your own.

I have been going to Girard park since I was a little kid. This is a beautiful park even if it is rather small. I have always loved working out at the park and looking at the house that Stephen Girard lived in. It is very clean and very safe, and recently they have redone all of the pavement around the park and they have done work inside the park to make it more spacious and beautiful. If you haven’t been to Stephen Girard Park you should go there and see it for yourself.

Clean, and a nice park. It's ridiculous though that they took up 3 parking spots to build the whatever it is on the corners of the outside of the park.
