Great place. delicious food and fabulous crafted beer from different breweries (we tried watermelon flavored & bourbon barrel this time). Clean and cozy ambiance. Good and fast service. Indoor and outdoor seating, ideal for family gathering. The brisket is my favorite followed by the ribs. Sides were delicious too

A Gem of BBQ Joint in Travelers Rest on your way to somewhere. I was returning to Atlanta from Asheville and I thought that instead of having fast food again that I would google a BBQ restaurant that had a dog-friendly patio. Did I get lucky! Great smoking on the baby back ribs and brisket. I love when I can see the smoke ring on the ribs and baby backs are so much more meatier than St. Louis pork ribs. Great BBQ sauces! Loved their versions of an East Carolina mustard sauce and their Cheerwine sauce. But, I really have to crow about two of the best sides I’ve probably had anywhere. Collard greens cooked perfectly and with big bacon pieces that are browned first and then cooked with the greens, imparting some great flavor! And the sweet potato crunch should really be listed under desserts. It was so good. It tasted like it had baked cinnamon apple pieces mixed in the gently mashed sweet potatoes. We also had the Mac & Cheese and fried okra and they were both very good. Monkey Wrench Smokehouse has a great bar with some regional microbrews on draft and it looks like it would really fun at night when the place fills up. Definitely worth a stop no matter which way you’re traveling.

The burger was amazing! Best hamburger I’ve had in a while. Adding Bacon was a wise decision. Fries were hot and crispy. Their sauces were great but the mild sauce was a perfect addition to the burger! Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

We drove to the upstate this weekend from Charleston and camped to see potential areas we’d like to move to. We decided to try out Monkey Wrench in Traveler’s Rest this evening on New Year’s Eve. The food and atmosphere were excellent, but I’d have to say the best part of our experience eating here was our server, D.J.! He was an awesome server, from his upbeat personality and smile to his attentiveness …when we come back, I sure hope he’s our server again! Love it here!

The Brisket is The Best all around
Masks are required to enter, I saw tables being wiped down between guests, all of the staff were wearing masks and no one was seated too close to another party.
That must feel in the food is great
I believe it is Meadville Road and should start at 7pm
I Think They are Going To Be Opened
There is a street just past their storefront, on the left (if driving north on 276), that leads back to the parking lot of the Methodist Church.
We sure do!
