This hotel is absolutely great for the Dalton Ga area. The location is great shopping area and great restaurants within walking distance. You have the option of ordering in from the local Door Dash if you don't want the hassle of driving or walking for food. Absolutely top notch breakfast that is complementary with the room and the staff is super nice always willing to assist with no attitude.

The outside entrance rooms are a big negative. And while the location is ideal for road travelers, the road noise, particularly with the numerous trucks on I-75 is really bothersome during the night. Room was musty and felt damp. Faint odors of old cigarette smoke and old cigarette burns in the arm of the chair. Carpet near luggage stand has white stains- maybe mildew. Definitely not my favorite place to stay. Staff was nice enough but overall property is in need of a deep refurbishment or sale to another brand. In its current condition this is more of a Motel 6 level than a Hampton. Very disappointing.

We could not find one place to stay in GA along I-75 until the call center found one room available at the Hampton Inn in Dalton, GA. We are very thankful we had a place to lay our head close to midnight. However once we pulled up we noticed that the room entrance was on the exterior. The furnishings were old and worn, lighting was poor, linens worn and old, and heating element was outdated. The office area was disheveled as well. It was an older facility. This location was just not up to par for the Hampton brand. This Hampton Inn does not meet the usual standards for a Hilton Hampton we have come to expect.

Any port in a storm applies here. We were glad to have shelter as a massive storm lay in our path. That said, this is not the newest ship in the Hampton fleet. It is old with a design that accesses rooms from an outdoor porch. After the first entry I could never get a room key to work again. The bright points were a very friendly staff and a fresh not prepackaged breakfast. With the facility they have to work with a three star is probably the highest this excellent staff can achieve.
