Many of the bad reviews look old. That appears to have been then. There's a new owner, and I met him for the first time today during my first visit to Twin City. My experience was nothing less than perfect. Bought an item at an online auction. The service when I arrived at the store was excellent. He carried a wide selection of hard to find holsters. I will definitely shop there again.

All guitars , amps, and cases are extremely over priced. you would come out better just paying shipping on EBay. They were also rude and very judgmental of anyone even touching the guitars. I give them a big pile of booo

I was referred here by a friend that had used this shop in past years and spoke highly of the older man who owned it however he has since passed and the customer service was awful. First off, the last thing anyone want to do is go pawn their items to cover bills. I do not live over my means but was part of a company wide layoff and now have come up short on my car payment. I took several pieces of jewelry, my limited edition guitar and a brand new Ipad that was still in the box that I purchased 3 weeks before being laid off. I wanted to pawn my items and needed $325 cash. I brought in my guitar and was told they don't want any guitars if they are electric bass. Mine was not a bass and was a Danelectro 1999 Hodad, light metallic blue sparkle, with case, all case candy and paperwork. i bought this new and have never to this day used it since I never learned to play. I've kept it due to it was made in limited production from 1999-2001. The ladies at the store said they have never heard of this brand guitar and therefore didn't want it. I gave them the paperwork straight from Danelectro and they googled guitars however there were none found from 1999-2001. This guitar is not very expensive but it's also not very cheap. My paperwork showed the price in 1999 of $499. They told me they didn't want it and would not offer me even $1. I then asked how about my Movado watch. I had all the paperwork, original receipt of $1,698, box, warranty card, and booklet. They turned that away as well stating they don't take watches. I then pulled out my white 14k gold diamond ring. They weighed the gold at 27gm I believe and said it's not heavy enough to offer any money on it to take it somewhere else where someone will give me money. I'm thinking at this point...aren't I at the correct place to get money for things like this. I then pulled out my gold/silver mix necklace and they weight it and said too bad it has silver in it that we don't take any silver. So next I asked then if they took new iPads. The response was 'it depends". I asked "depends on what", the response was 'it depends". At that point I realized that unless I had a $20,000 gold chain or 5 ct diamond ring that I was not going to get even 1 cent offered. After watching the two people in front of me get the exact same response to their nice items I should have known. The only person in line that was offered ANY money at all was a girl with a gun. Everyone else was lucky enough to have their 1/2 full attention. To make matters worse...when I first come in I didn't bring anything with me but just wanted to look. I asked if there were any Martin D 35 guitars in the store and was told they have a Martin D something that it's over in a case somewhere by the guitars to go look. The worst customer service I have ever come across in my life. I would not recommend this shop to anyone to look or buy. If you plan on trying to pawn something you better call in advance to make sure your diamond is expensive enough, your guitar is a brand they are familiar with, and your gold meets their weight expectations. They make the old man from Pawn Stars look like a sweetheart. If you don't believe me then go try it out for yourselves. If the customer service here continues like this they may find themselves on the customer end of a transaction and if so I hope they get the same if not worse treatment that they have bestowed upon their customers I seen today! I did take my items elsewhere as suggested and got the money I needed at Pawnderosa without having to pawn all my items....AND....the customer service was an A+.

Twin City is a great pawn shop I spend around 3000-8000 weekly sometimes on jewelry. I know everyone there and it is a great set of people to shop at plus the inventory is very large especially on guns and jewelry. Very much recommended to shop or do bussiness with.
