Well me and my family were tired, we looked to every hotel in downtown Atlanta and other hotels near six flags only to be turned down by the simple fact all of the rooms were booked. Finally we settled on comfort inn and whenever we read the reviews let’s just say we didn’t have very high expectations of the place. Though we had our hopes heightened whenever we the front desk man was very nice and helpful for us. But it seems like that’s where the good things end, and the bad things begin. Let’s start off with the smell, it smelled great whenever she stepped into the hotel. It smelled.. normal? Like chlorine from the pool. Which I have no I’ll will towards since I love the smell of it, but, there was another smell. That hit as soon as we slept on the elevator. It smelt like weed mixed with mildew. A terrible smell that only worsened whenever we stepped on the elevator. We paid no mind to and just decided to try and sleep on the room provided. That’s when the lovely people outside started speaking, they began to threaten each other outside. It didn’t allow us to sleep, I understand the people of the hotel aren’t to blame, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re planning on doing activities that are under the law.

Comfort Inn and Suites We are season pass holders for Six Flags Over Georgia and we visit as often as we can. We have stayed at Comfort Inn and Suites the past few times we have came and it was just okay. Not bad enough to complain about, but bad enough to say we wouldn't stay there next time. Well, today was next time and my dear husband forgot that we said we wouldn't be back and went ahead and rebooked for our spring break visit. We spent the morning/afternoon and left early, thinking we would relax at our hotel and then go out to dinner and return to the park and visit the aquarium the next day. When we got to our room on the 5th floor, we immediately noticed the smell. It was like wet dog that had been covered with perfume and cleaning products. Not pleasant. We walked in the room and immediately noticed stains on the couch and chair. Stains on the sheets, what looked like pieces of the popcorn ceiling all over the bed, duct tape on the floor, and a sticky substance on the nightstand. That was plenty for me. We stayed for about an hour debating what to do and ultimately decided to go to the front desk and ask for a different room. In the time we were there, myself and my 2 year old started having major allergy flare-ups. Coughing, itchy eyes, runny nose. My husband went to the front desk and they told him that there were no other rooms for us. He then asked them to refund us and would find somewhere else to stay. They refunded, took our key cards, then told us it would take about 2 weeks for our refund to appear in our bank account. So now we're out $200 of what we had saved for our trip, and have no hotel room. As we were gathering our things from the room we noticed a HUGE corner full of black mold in the room. I mean, huge. No wonder we couldn't stop coughing. When the manager to came to check the room, she seemed shocked at the mold and said she had no idea. They had a smaller room (2 queens) that she could give us for a discounted rate. 🤣 We are a family of 6. No way we're fitting into that room to begin with, but then we'd be out even more money. Heck no, we were not paying them for THEIR poor business. So now, we are driving back home (4 hours away) with four disappointed kids and two very angry parents. Will NEVER stay here again, and unless you enjoy paying for filth and mold, I'd advise you not to either.

Very professional staff and clean rooms. I would definitely recommend. Breakfast was hot and stocked. Pool was open. We enjoy our visit and plan to come back in future!

I pulled out the cushion and found a used condom on it. When I called the front desk they told me there were no other rooms, no manager, no house keeping, and didn't offer to clean it. So I had to throw away the condom myself. There was no bed sheets or pillows for the pull out. We again had to go to the front desk and follow the person to laundry to get them. After we pulled out the bed we found tons of trash in the pull out area of the couch. Noone had cleaned that area of the couch in a very long time. When I spoke to the GM the next morning she only offered me a 30% discount on the condom room. I told her the minimum I would take I 50 or 60%. She should have completely refunded the room but she tried to negotiate asking to meet her in the middle at 40% again I said 50% is the minimum so that is what she gave me.
