It's like stepping into the past which I love. It has candies and sodas I would never dream of tasting but they are delicious. The environment feels almost 70s or 80s which is amazing and I hope this business keeps on thriving. I feel it's an important part of highland.

Not a bad little find. My friend and I went looking for things to do here and this came up. It's almost hard to find if you're not paying attention haha. It seems like a local thing so it wasn't busy. Drove about 35 minutes to come and get cool drinks. There is a sandwich shop as well and a make your own soda creator in the back which was cool. I found a few drinks I haven't seen since I was younger so that was great nostalgic moment for me. Spent about 50 bucks on drinks and candy. Over all I will come back and try some new sodas and drinks.

I became aware of Galco’s through an episode of “Weird and/or Wonderful World” (shoutout to Shane and Ryan from Watcher!) and knew Galco’s had to be one of my stops during my first ever trip to Los Angeles. I was blown away by the selection of obscure sodas, candies, and snacks available for purchase. I wound up spending roughly $70 on sodas and snacks for myself and as gifts for others. However, everything is priced so reasonably! Most sodas ranged from $1.99 to $3 a bottle, which makes for a budget friendly cool memory of all that LA has to offer! They also sell various neat alcohols here, and those are pricier than the sodas on offer, but none of the prices felt exorbitant! I picked up a bottle of pear cider that I look forward to trying once I’m back home. I was disheartened to see that the soda pop creation station is currently not operating, but understand that the nature of our current pandemic would necessitate its closure. Do yourself a favor if you pop into Galco’s and buy yourself a bottle of the mango flavored Calpico. It’s delicious, smooth, and non-carbonated.
