Want a unique experience? Try this place! You will impress your date or social group by bringing them here. It's our family tradition to make newborn footprints of our kids. We called The Potter's House and spoke with the owner about our concept and she was more than willing to special order our tiles for cost (we also paided a sitting fee). They arrived a week later and we completed our project. She sent a text message a week later to let us know our tiles were finished. Highly recommend supporting this unique local small business! Tampa needs more places like this.

Great studio! The women were both very helpful and engaging. Great at explaining how the paint layers work and helped us strategize what we would put on our ornaments.

Great place for kids and family. Josey the owner is the best! We've been going with grandchildren for three years and it just keeps getting better. Very friendly positive atmosphere that Josey provides! Our young ones don't want to leave!

Appointments are not necessary, just call ahead to make sure they are open and dont have a special event going on
You should call Josey at the Potters House and ask her. She gets busy and doesn't have time to check her site often.
Hi Wendy! Thanks so much for your question. While our mugs and dishes are dishwasher and microwave safe, they may chip and fade more quickly than items purchased in stores. With that in mind, we suggest that they are washed and dried by hand from time-to-time. (But I must confess: I put them in the dishwasher and microwave regularly :-) Josie
Hello! Thank you so much for your interest! Though we did offer clay as an option for a while, we found that drying time and firing temperatures needed for clay work sort of hinders what we do best in the studio: offer our guests a fabulous pottery painting experience! Your visit is not "timed" or controlled by us in any way! You select what you want to paint, we help assemble materials necessary to achieve your vision, and, of course, we are happy to help when asked! (I should add - sometimes when we do team building / birthday parties, we have requests for us to lead everyone step-by-step to paint a similar item. We're always more than happy to do that too!) Thanks again for your interest!
Wow! Don't know how this question was overlooked! Please accept our apologies! No, unfortunately, we don't have a pottery wheel. We did for a while, but found that the need for extra drying time and different firing temperatures for clay sort of got in the way of the studio's rhythm. (We go into more detail below.) Thanks so much for your interest, though! We truly appreciate it!
