I was on hold for over an hour with the County Clerk's office as we needed a extension on our fix it ticket to either appear or provide proof of fix - we hadn't received our new registration card and tags from CA DMV. I did get a 30 day extension, finally had paperwork, payment, ready to take to drop box at EC regional ctr, only to find out both drop boxes are INSIDE the building. So at 4:00 pm monday-Friday, you can't access the drop boxes - what a genius idea that is. One drop box should be located OUTSIDE the building for 24/7 access for people who work until 5:00 pm or later, during the week.

I called right at 8:30 to speak with someone about my speeding ticket and someone answered the phone within 5 minutes. Not sure if it was luck or what, but had no issues. The woman I spoke to was also very kind and helpful. As a side note, I’m glad I called as they’re not currently having people appear in court (for at least traffic tickets) unless you’re pleading not guilty. If you’re pleading guilty or no contest you simply write a letter with your plea and mail it to the court house by the due date that is on your citation and the court will then respond to you in writing.
