For the love of God, don't go here for food unless you like paying $7 for 2 avocados "on sale." But for midtown Manhattan the beer selection is excellent, reasonably priced, and expertly curated. For the cost of dinner and drinks around the corner, I picked up 4 grocery bags full of crazy beer bottles and cans that my wife and I will enjoy for the next 2 months

Used to love this place but now I try everything to avoid going there. I live very close and it would be so much easier to go there but I would rather walk 10 more blocks. EXPIRED FOOD. every time I go I see something expired. I don’t trust it

I usually walk to another lower priced grocery store but it’s been closing early since the pandemic started. So I decided to give in and grab a few things here at the Food Emporium. The freshness of the fruits and vegetables are unmatched in this neighborhood. No small feat. It’s well lit and the colors of the produce section calls me like a vegetarian siren is singing lol. I also like how they placed the vegan items in the produce section. Awesome stuff. Convenient for the residents living around. Contains all the basic grocery. Cooked food and pastry at ground floor. Fruit, diary products, nuts, chocolate, frozen food, meat, daily necessities at basement.

Every edible thing you wish is there. You'll stop being hungry once you get in that shop. Don't think it twice, just go.
My advice is calling them up & asking them before traveling there! Get the name.of the person who answered the phone, JUST IN CASE, there's a discrepancy!

Yes. The variety is amazing. In fact they have chilling ready to eat serving size dishes at all times. You eat healthy and save a lot by eating from here than even the lowest cost restaurant in this neighborhood. Enjoy! We know you will.
Not that I know of , because the cereals that are sold @ FOOD EMPORIUM are very healthy and whole grain, & wheat cereals that aren't popular name brands. They sell smores cereal in Target @ Dekalb in Brooklyn.

Yes. The Food Emporium delivers groceries. You can call in your order, go there and shop your order and I believe email your order. The fee for delivery is about $5.40.
