Friendly hard working people that will get you in and out as fast as possible, always had a good experience here, the lines can get pretty long but the wait isn’t so bad.

This place needs to get investigated for "Ripping Off" people! Especially 1st timers Beware!!! They have No Remorse in what they do! Even when most of their business comes from defenseless homeless just trying to make a buck. They won't think twice to rip you off if your not! Beware!!!

I brought in 10 garbage bags full of bottles which were crushed a small as possible, 6 garbage bags of smashed cans, and 4 garbage bags of glass. I received $46. They ripped me off!!! I had half as much at another place and I received $235. I’ll never come to this place again. I spoke to the manager and he gave me $5.67 more. Unbelievable!!! I left there feeling furious.

I remember when Cash for Cans started on the corner of foothill blvd. and Fruitvale ave. The man that opened it up was a very respectful hardworking honest person. I have been coming here off and on all these years. But then in the summer 2021 I seen that the man that was writing down the weight had cheated me out of about $25. So I decided to see if The same man was working when I took in my cans a few weeks ago. There he was . So I had almost q00 lbs of all cans. He paid me $72. So I got cheated again! Or Maybe it was a mistake. I'm going 1 more time to see if it happens a 3rd time.So pay close attention to see if you get your lbs and cash right. I'm hoping for it to pass and let it go. I can forgive if it doesn't happen anymore. Shout out to the owner and his son. When they are there this never happens If he tries to low pay me I'm going to have him explain to me what is going on. So pay close attention if it happens to you PLEASE SPEAK UP! GOD SPEED Oakland Town Biz.

Cash For Cans
The prices change daily (which is out of their control, it goes based on the market and also each place is different)m
They are very good con watch over your cans why you go the second time to get the remaining. Keep it up very recommended
Yes they do I also recommend Aaron's they have one in hayward that accepts everything only the Oakland is cans and others n pay is more
If it's a individual bottle then the price is on the bottle but if bottles then it's per pound and they discount the weight of the bucket
Yes

No you have to talk copper to Arron's metals I believe in San Leandro
(PPE) personal protective equipment. A mask and if you prefer gloves
The California Redemption value (CRV) is included in the price paid for when we recycle our cans, plastic, bottles, and Copper at the recycling center.
Yes you can. Just make sure they are California redeemable or they'll be tossed aside.
Cash for Cans doesn't have a location in Alameda, only in Oakland, and they do close early if business slows to a halt. However, usually at least, if you call ahead of time, like around 3:50-4:00 and tell them you're on the way and what time you'll be there, they will stay open as late as 4:40 to wait.
I don't think so. Best bet is weekdays 10am-4pm.
No, not yet, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
Eddie they are open till 430 everyday. They do require tops off bottles. They let you turn in the tops- just not attached to the bottles. Also I would suggest getting there by at least 4:15 because it seems like the gate sometimes does get shut a little before 4:30. But overall they're very reasonable and they're not very mean about their gate.
