I have lived in El Cerrito for over 20 years. In my experience living here and in northern Virginia since graduating college, the El Cerrito police are the most responsive, professional and caring police I have experienced. Thank you for your support of our city.

After 12 years of a clean driving record, Officer Perales fabricated a citation of 260.00 Just because I parked for a few seconds twice while I was looking for an address. It seemed like he didn't know what to cite me for, he took 45 minutes to come up with a citation "Laned Roadways." Watch out for him. Try not to drive at night in El Cerrito because you could be his next victim.

Astounded at the lack of professionalism on display at the E.C.P.D. They refused to take a stolen property report on 1/7/19. Does anyone know if there is an oversight body to look into what appears to be misconduct and negligence?

What a bunch of goons! got a $290 ticket for parking 3 feet away from red zone..tried to dispute it but they send you to their own internal investigator and you can imagine how that went down.

I need an officer to physically verify verify VIN# of truck for DMV. I have title but truck was erased from DMV electronic files.

Go to their office hall during open business hours and make the request. They don't actively monitor the comments on public websites.

Why in the 5 years I've lived in the East Bay and commuted on San Pablo have I never seen anybody pulled over? Every morning I am constantly in danger of being run over by people who insist on going well over 40-45 miles an hour. Easy revenue.

Unfortunately, you won't get the real answer to your question on Google. It will be answered by people who have no idea why and who are just looking for a platform to trash cops. If you truly want the answer, call the police department, go on a ride along with ECPD, watch the news or go to an El Cerrito City Council meeting. It might just enlighten you a little. Anybody can ask a question on Google, but if you really want the answers, you need to go to the source. Don't ask Safeway how milk is made. Go to the dairy!
