Hard to explain if you've never been there. 10's of thousands of snow geese in the lake and more in the air overhead. Little bit of a walk but we'll worth the effort. Be sure to stop by the visitor center.

Totally beautiful place. Absolutely worth visiting. This was some of the best fall foliage I've ever seen. The lake is beautiful. The landscape is incredible. The trails are well marked and so relaxing. The only thing I would caution is the wooden walkways (only for some potions of the trails) are very slippery when wet, but this is to be expected. But most were easy to just walk next to as well. Seriously awesome place.

A week ago our family decided to go on a hike at Middle Creek Wildlife Management Preserve in Stevens,PA. If you are looking for a nice hike to get back into nature this is a good place to do it. They have lot's of different trails to choose from. Our is the conservation trail that has fun facts about different trees and plant life as well as some amazing views. I highly recommend this hike for families especially with younger children.

Love taking the kids to the creek here on hot summer days. Lots of trees provide plenty of shade and there is beautiful wildlife all over. Can't wait till they are old enough to Kayak on the lake!

Hello! These new boxes are for barn owls, A grassland raptor species that is in severe decline within the state. We hope they find them next breeding season :).
Yes still there
Come to the visitors center to see where you can and cannot go. You can fish in any areas that are called public recreation areas or regular state game lands. You can only fish from a boat from May 16-September 14. You can only access the lake from the boat launch. Forty of the 360 acre lake are open for boating.
Yes.
I'm told the neighbors of the area and those visiting do a good job of reporting to the PGC.
There are turkeys..... I have no idea about the hi ting though
This time of year it is open 12 to 5 on Sundays and closed Mondays.
No
The only hunting at this time is duck season, it's on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, you have to arrive at interpretation center early for drawing, you can get details online.
No you don't but the visitor center and museum has limited hours.
They are a sugar maples.
Bass, bluegills
Yes as long as it is a non motorized boat. You must stay inside the bouys.
You can kayak from the boat launch opposite the visitors center side off Millstone Rd, no launch permit needed. However, most of the lake is restricted access and there are bouys marking this zone which you cannot cross.
It depends on which birds. Also each is twice a year. Coming and going, so to speak.
Yes you can
Hi Kenneth! The best place to access the Middle Creek Trail is from Kleinfeltersville Road heading south just after the dam. You can also access the trail from Mountain Spring Road and parking lot.
