Good stay. Arrived at 3AM and received great service from Chuck who went out of his way to get me additional waters for my stay. Coming from Minnesota to 100 degree Texas heat is no joke! Breakfast was ok. Location was good as it was 5 min from my worksite.

The best thing about this place was the breakfast. The halls are dark and gloomy looking with the maid's service carts in the hall still at check in time. Why are they still cleaning at 4pm? The room had a smell of dingy moisturizer. From a process of elimination I deduced it was from the carpet. Nothing I could do about that. With a can of Lysol, I sprayed until I was comfortable. The pool was the last straw. My girls wanted nothing but to enjoy a few hours in pool. With temperatures at 103 degrees that day you would think the pool was clean and stocked with fresh towels. No such luck. We got to the pool at 7pm. That means it hadn't been cleaned all day. Leaves were scattered about all around the pool. I was beyond infuriated! But I was not going to show my anger to a lackluster staff and have my blood pressure go up. Not to mention I made a promise to my girls. So turning lemons into lemonade I took the pool net strainer in hand and got to work. Enduring the degradation of being ogled by a creepy visitor and the humiliation of working at the hotel I paid to stay at is enough to buy my therapist a new designer purse. When I finished cleaning the pool my family and a few other families were able to get some relief from the heat and engage in an activity outdoors free from screens. Another guest mentioned they were coming to clean the pool, too. They were told that it couldn't be tended to because they were short handed and didn't have supplies. It took me 30 minutes and I don't own a pool! To add insult to injury; the pool is positioned directly in front of the check in area with large windows. There's no way the two at the front desk did not see me cleaning the pool with a 15 foot rod circling the pool! I am disgusted with the overall state of the hotel! I basically paid money to work there. I will be sending a formal complaint to corporate along with a video of me cleaning the pool. I just wanted the consumers to know what their buying.

This hotel was my first choice when visiting Austin, however they have lowered the quality of their service. The last time I stayed (about two months ago) there was not much water pressure in the shower, and the bathroom was not completely clean. It should be noted that despite having a reservation for a King bed room, they sold everything and left us a double Queen.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. My room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. The shower was so enjoyable with the updated glass sliding doors and regular shower floor instead of standing in a tub. I had a corner room and it was a joy. I would highly recommend this hotel for everyone.
