This is our third year returning to Huttopia Southern Maine and it did not disappoint. The front desk staff goes above and beyond to make the stay fantastic. Love the grounds - the addition of the floating docks for the lake are great. The lakefront trappeurs are the perfect mix of comfort and camping. The croissants in the am are fresh from the oven and heavenly. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Huttopia exceeded our expectations! The tent was even better than we anticipated. I really appreciated how clean the bathrooms were and all communal spaces. It was so lovely to have coffee and meals on-site as an option too.

Emmanuel, the general manager of this facility is very rude and not accommodating. My partner and I plus 3 small children booked a stay there two years ago. Due to circumstances beyond anyones control, the facility lost power and the sewage pumps stopped working. Raw sewage bubbled up onto the property and alongside our cabin. The smell was horrendous and unsanitary. We couldn’t determine whether the puddles were rain puddles or raw sewage. The city wasn’t able to fix the power lines for 24 hrs, so this problem ruined our trip. They issued a one night stay voucher to us, to use within a year. In that year there was a global pandemic and travel between states was strongly discouraged. In addition, I had a very serious injury last year that resulted in surgery to reattach my Achilles Tendon. Long recovery time. So Here we are. In the summer of 2022, I’m healed and back on my feet. Pandemic risks and restrictions are FAR less and life is getting back to normal. We are only eight months past when the voucher was supposed to be used by. Keeping in mind that four or five of those months were during the winter… And this manager will not allow me to use it. So please keep in mind that if there is severe weather… And your cabin site is flooded with raw sewage… That may be the experience that you are left with. And if there’s a pandemic surge and you don’t feel it is safe to do a trip like that with small children… They don’t care.
