Nice resort, came with my parents who are in their mid 70’s. Building 1 has a 8 minute walk from the water to the room Building 2 has a 6 minute walk from the water to the room The resort and condos are in pretty good shape with very cold AC. Room 2-207 needs a new master mattress replaced ASAP, it is tore up. The knife set is either missing or a few broken knives. Room 2-202 was in much better shape !

While the condos and amenities are nice if you have children that enjoy the pool I would go elsewhere. Basically all you can do in the pool is stand there. Can’t throw a water football or frisbee, no floats, etc. pool is supposed to close at dusk which is 70-100 minutes after sunset but they will have someone standing there saying you can’t go in within 30 min of sunset. The “security” stands by the pool all day to make sure you don’t have fun. Oh and you can have a drink by your chair only yet you have to leave your cooler outside the gate. So every time you want another drink you have to go out there to get a drink and bring it in. Overall I don’t believe I will ever come back here. Much more relaxed places to have fun during your stay at siesta

The property itself was very lovely, and we really enjoyed our stay. Great location on the island, lovely pool, we loved having chairs available, etc. The problem is with the property owner of the unit we stayed in, 8-201. We left the place in excellent condition including going above and beyond the checkout instructions (washing and folding our laundry, dishes clean, etc) and then, after we left a positive review, were charged $400 for damages (defined as "excessive dirt and refrigerator shelf replacement"). We did not cause these damages. The host has not responded to our repeated requests for documentation and VRBO is not allowing us to change the review or remove the additional charge. If you are considering booking this particular unit, I would recommend reconsidering.

The best place i’ve ever stayed at! used to stay at the Excelsior with my wife and her family, but one year we came on our own and i gave them a shot.. never going anywhere else!
