They took care of me. Doctors were very nice. I loved RN Penny at Fawcett. Gave me IV potassium. I wish they would have given me a few potassium pills till I could see my doctor. I ended up in the ER two more times. The last time, I went to the Sarasota Hospital on Toledo Blade. They gave me IV meds and gave me potassium pills, and I though Fawcett should have done that in the first place so that I could have avoided 3 ER trips in one week.

Horrible care, apparently a call button is just for decoration. Nobody response to the call because as I was told today "they're too busy." Can't wait to see what kind of review I can give tomorrow's experience at the hospital. I'll definitely say if you get admitted into this Hospital make sure you have someone with you. Since the staff is not that concerned about the well-being of the patient. Another poor experience, apparently the hospital neurologist, needs to improve their bed side manner. NOT HELPFUL. Pretty much making you feel like your wasting their time. Very disappointed. They say I don't have an office and no cards, cause I work at the hospital.

The entire staff, from front desk, labs, nursing, recovery and support, was very kind, considerate, professional and efficient. Due to the volume of surgical procedures there was not an ICU bed available and my visit in the Recovery area was extended, along with other "Overflow" patients. Although the location was not as scheduled the benefit of direct access to nursing was indeed reassuring. With all things considered I can say that my visit to Fawcett Hospital was a positive experience and I would recommend the facility to others.

I have been in Port Charlotte twenty years and have been to the three hospitals at one time or another. I recently had surgery at Fawcett Memorial at the direction of my surgeon. I was a bit apprehensive of the mediocre safety ratings in the past, but I had no choice. I was absolutely surprised at he super clean areas, friendly attentive staff, and on time surgical care. Even the discharge process was minus the long delays I have experienced in the other hospitals. I commented about the welcome improvements, and was told new management has made all the difference, including a much happier atmosphere for the staff. Even the food was good, and we all know the reputation hospital food has.
