Wow, Mountain View Church is on fire! From the worship team, to the new location, to pastor Todd, it’s quite an experience. The worship team is led by Ryan Kirkland who’s toured with Switch Foot and Anberlin and has an amazing voice and high energy. The rest of the crew is equally talented and “all-in” making the worship high energy and inspiring. The songs are a great mix of some the latest worship songs, a few originals and some great hymns mixed in. Pastor Todd is like the best friend you wish lived next door. His humility and scriptural knowledge are well balanced. His desire to share his best understanding of scriptures from his experiences, leading theologians and what God’s placed on his heart is refreshing and he’s got a great sense of humor as well. Our family has found that his teaching and practical application to today’s life has challenged us to reflect on how we represent Christ. The children's, high school and college ministries are amazing. I have witnessed teens that have shown more maturity and selflessness than most adults. Their success in these programs are easy to see when you take into consideration that the number of kids in these programs are currently almost equal to the number of adults in church! (Wow) Last but not least, the congregation has been so welcoming. The opportunities to truly get connected to people who love the Lord are endless. The smiles, warm welcomes and the helping hands I've witnesses brings to mind an “Acts Based Church”. This is a truly unique church and we feel blessed to call it home now. Don't take my word for it.
