I need to have a follow up after surgery in June they have an appointment until October 2022 Bad service today I calle for help to see a Dr by phone they have an appointment thru agost I do have Covid again after get my Second Booster please Choose another Service here is Not Good

Can you please stop taking down my negative review. My wife and I took out child here to get stitches for a laceration on his scalp. After waiting 45 minutes, they denied us because our child “would not sit still”, and we were forced to go to the ER instead. Now, they are trying to charge us for the visit. If you want your money, keep my post up, so others can see that you are only in business for profit, and not care.

I'm sad to be giving a review like this, because I've been part of Altamed for awhile. I understand that they have a strict policy when it comes to scheduling appointments, as this is what keeps things organized, but it has gotten out of hand. I have to agree with many of the reviews here who express how difficult it is to make an appointment or even contact a doctor. I had an appointment in a few weeks, and although I wish it was earlier, I put a lot of things into consideration and was okay with it. Just a few minutes ago, I got a call from them letting me know that my appointment needed to be rescheduled for some time in August. That's too long to wait. There isn't anything before that? I was told that now these days people prefer telehealth. I still don't understand how I wouldn't be able to be seen sooner. Waiting is difficult, especially when we are dealing with our own health, but to not be seen for another 4 months is ridiculous. I feel for all the people who had negative reviews here, and I know what it's like. I don't feel like they prioritize their patient's needs. They should stop making commercials as if they do. I know they will probably just apologize here, but I'm not really looking for an apology. It doesn't mean anything if you keep doing this to people who need their health care. I don't feel like I'd get the care I need in case of emergency.

I don’t know what Altamed is worse, El Monte or West Covina, when I was in El Monte I had a great Dr Vong I always had my meds with him and he always toke care of my medical health. And he lands up leaving then I go to West Covina and got a good Dr Sanders and she lands up leaving, and COVID happens and haven’t had a Dr since. And now I got a Dr I think didn’t know I had this Dr until Friday that I have appointment on Monday and my mom should be also having an appointment also. I’m going to see how this works out. And if I’m not comfortable with this Dr I’m going to leave Altamed period, and go to. Whole different clinic. And take my mom with me cause I’m not driving her there and me to a whole different medical building.
