Our first trip was a bit of a disaster. Perhaps it was due to the people on the cruise and not the cruise company itself. It just seemed like my 5-year-old was not welcomed and we got a lot of eye rolls. After the cruise, we received a survey which I filled out. The next day, management contacted me and gave us a free cruise to try them out again. The second time was wonderful! This cruise company does in fact like kids! Food was good. They give you a lot of information about the lake and some large houses. Even the music they played was perfect and not too overbearing. The captain even let my son drive the boat! AND my son got to pick out a little charm to have. My son was so excited! The captain was wonderful! Tip: bring a jacket because it’s always colder on a lake. Seems like kids get bored after an hour, so bring an activity for them to do in case they get antsy or bring headphones if you give them your phone, so the rest of us aren’t stuck listening to Sponge Bob SquarePants. 😊 This cruise is well worth it.

Love it every time! Delicious food, beautiful boat, and georgous day! Two hour ride and they give you information on the houses around the lake as you past by. I would recommend getting there at least 30 minutes early to be able to pick the spot you want to sit at and find parking. You have to pay for parking also.

The family took granny to the Elvis show for her 75th Birthday. What a WONDERFUL time! The show was personal, upbeat and fun! Everyone thought the food was dynamite!! The cruise was great, scenic, and relaxing! Thanks for the AWESOME MEMORIES

First time cruising with Wayzata Bay Charters. We were excited for the special July 4th Fireworks Cruise but will likely look into other options for 2022. NOTE: Parking near the dock was extremely limited with no reserved area for cruise guests. We got lucky but I would highly recommend arriving 45 minutes prior to boarding to secure a spot and be able to hoof it over to the pier in time. The boats were loaded at 28 passenger capacity, which afforded ample space for all the groups to comfortably spread out/find seating. The dessert offerings were dismal, not restocked/refreshed throughout the night and even non-alcoholic beverages (besides self-service water) were $2/cup. The captain (Wiggins) was wonderfully entertaining and knowledgeable about many of the exquisite properties seen during our voyage. However, he did seem to anchor us much further from the fireworks barge than we'd been told we would be (which left us longing to be on one of the "other" boats). There was also no music to accompany the fireworks, which I feel is always a nice touch. Overall, an entertaining "one and done" experience but kind of a let down for ~$60/person. I think the most fun we had was bonding with another family on-board over our mutual amusement at the shenanigans of all the drunks!
