The owner was very friendly but we did not have a key for our room so we could not lock it when we left to eat. Also when we woke up in the morning there was no hot water so we could not shower.

Manager was friendly and the was clean. Bathroom was disgusting and VERY small. Shower pan was covered in mildew. Bathroom fixture was not attached to the sink. Beds were terrible. Our “neighbor” was entertaining her male friends ALL night long. Walls are very thin and you could hear everything! Will not use again.

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was with our accommodations at this motel. Our son was getting married at the fair grounds next to the Pullman. The block of rooms were used up so we found the Pullman on the web. We called prior to check in to add a third person. The person was added with no additional charge. I did ask to check in early and was told that they open at 2:30. The wedding started at 3;00, so I was a bit disappointed. When we arrived in Rice Lake we drove by the motel and it was very cute. I thought this was going to be a pleasant surprise. My husband dropped me off at the wedding and went to check in. I don't think he saw the room at this point, because he didn't make any comments when he returned. When we did arrive at the motel I was pleased at how clean the rooms are but they are very small. The beds are comfortable. I recommend that you stay anywhere but here. The rooms are small and have cold cement floors with indoor/outdoor carpet. The TV is new, big and nice but there is only one channel. The weather channel plays continuously. The bathroom is about 4 x 4 feet square. The light is the old fashioned pull chain that hangs over the mirror. Don't try to turn it on or off with wet hands. If you need to use the toilet you have to first go into the room, close the door and sit down. I am only 5' 6" but my knees nearly touched the door. I had to open the door to feel comfortable washing my hands. The shower was a metal insert the shape of a triangle that was beginning to show some rust. I would be able to wash half of my body at a time. It realistically was fit for a child to ten year old. It was cold and rainy and I could not get the room to warm up. I wanted additional blankets so I tried to call the office several times from 5:00-7:00 p.m. but never got a response. There is not an answering machine so you could not leave a message. We bumped into the manager when we raced off the next morning and he is very jovial. Cute little place with nice people but I'd pass on this one unless it was one of the last rooms in town. Which ironically it was. We wish you safe travels with full size showers.

I gave 5 stars last year for the same time frame. This year our experience was less than pleasant. We got a non remodeled room unlike last year. The place certainly wasn't full. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke and told the manager so we wouldn't be charged for it. The bathroom is so tiny, it's unbelievable!! The shower you can't move in and the hot water faucet wouldn't turn off. It took 20 minutes of both myself and my husband trying it before we finally got it. There was a dirty wash rag left in the shower. Very disappointed :(
