There is some real confusion on What is the level of a KOA "Journey" campground" vs other levels of the KOA system? Well while the public bathrooms were clean, and the overall site was adequate I was very disappointed to be led to believe we had a "Full Service" site booked and than we arrived to a substandard site. The power pedestal was limited to a 50 amp only with no 120 volt outlets. This presented an issue with our power needs. The "Pull-Thru" site was open enough to get in but did present an issue leaving due to a tight turn. And the "Full-Service" designation? NO. We paid and had water and electrical but NO SEPTIC! (We were told we could discharge when we leave but with a 45 foot RV this is uncomfortable.. While there were many open sites with all three systems in place, we were sent into a site that was limited. I suggest that this KOA "Journey" be avoided. For the price there are better grounds available in the area for a larger RV.

Though our visits was short it was a wonderful experience. We were passing through from Theodore Roosevelt NP to Chicago. Took a couple hours longer than we thought (as usual). They were so accommodating waiting after hours to meet us. Gave us two sites next to each other next to both the playground and K9 camp so the kids could play. The staff was amazing. Grounds were beautiful. Bathrooms spotless and large. Will definitely stay again on our next trip out and plan on spending more time.

Stayed 2 nights with our grandkids. Pool was inviting and very clean. The bathrooms were spotless and everyone was friendly. We stayed in a pull through site and had plenty of shade in the summer heat. We would stay here again.

Just a brief overnight stay on my way home after a winter sojourn in The South. Beautiful, well-kept grounds, large pull-through site, which is wonderful for overnight stays (no unhooking the tow required)! Very helpful staff. So quiet, yet, so close to The Cities. I highly recommend!

Normal check in time is 2:00 PM. I've been allowed to check in early as well when the site was available. Great staff.
There are both but hey dont stop there enjoy the pool that is heated by the sun.
Call their reservation line, they are open.
