I don't know how you can do better than the Calvary Chapel - Pas - it's one very, very special church - changed my life. Pastor Xavier Ries? Is one of the happiest men I've ever seen. Filled with both gratitude and joy, quite evident in all of "X's" teachings, services, attitude. The entire front office, the other assistant pastors, the Worship Team et al first class - thanks Calvary-Pas.

If you want spot-on biblical interpretation of the scriptures Calvary Chapel Pasadena is the place for you. If you want your ears tickled and want "social justice issues and stuff" go somewhere else. Integrity is the best way to describe everyone at Calvary Chapel Pasadena. The pastors, teachers, and others are always willing to answer "hard" questions to the best of their ability. And once you're established they want to make you part of the ministry if you are strong in the faith, willing, and able. For us it took a couple weeks to get to know people as we didn't mingle too much initially. However, they are very inclusive as long as you have integrity as well. If you are wishy-washy in your faith they will help you strengthen it. If you don't understand, they will explain. They have a strong evangelical outreach to the city of Pasadena and surrounding area, short term mission service trips around the world, as well as missionaries around the world. The children's ministry is top notch and will create boys and girls for Christ. They will challenge the children with deeper knowledge of the Bible that is age appropriate. Apologetic's is part of their curriculum so that children are able to give a defense for their faith as a child and an adult.

The parking is not far. You do have to cross the street though. But, there is very little traffic. Unless, you get there early and get parking right in the front. Which most often you can park on the street. Parking is on the south east side of the building. Ushers are always there to help. Parking is not hard.
They only have them at the 9AM and 11:30AM services.
There are many 50+ Believers. You can get involved in ushering, missions, music, wherever the Lord calls you to serve. Come and visit all welcome 😊💖
There is night service, on sundays at 6pm, and Tuesdays mens and womens bible studies at 7pm, Thursday night bible studies in the main sanctuary, and new believers studies at 7pm .
No the church is closed so we can spend time with the family
