I went to Sweet Chilis last night for a birthday and was super disappointed in what was once one of my favorite downtown establishments. Our server was great, but the food - such a let down! Increased prices (which I understand inflation) but then to ALSO make the portions a quarter of what they used to be. We were still hungry and the bill for two of us with a couple drinks was $120. I will pay good money for food, but refuse to pay that much and still be hungry. Also a heads up for vegetarians, they no longer offer tofu options which was almost a deal breaker for a few of my friends. At the bottom of their menu, they state they will not make changes to the dishes to accommodate dietary needs. They did allow my friends to get no meat though, otherwise we definitely wouldn't have been able to stay. We had last went at the end of Dec 2021 and it was great then. Now it's just a disappointment.

I first want to say I have eaten here over 100 times. Sweet Chili has been our go to for several years multiple times per month. We have always given 5 stars until the past few months. The portions have gotten smaller, new menu that is a downgrade, employee problems including the cooks, ingredients have changed even with the menu items that made it with the change, price increases.. almost everything about Sweet Chili has gone way downhill. You guys have always ranked number 1 since you've opened. I'm sorry, but it won't be that way this year or years to come if you keep this up. Maybe with all of the out of state people moving here you will survive but for the locals that have been coming here for years now I feel like you will lose us all. I wish you guys the best but I can't come here anymore. This saddens me because we ate here more than anywhere else in town.

My wife and I live in Billings. We always went to Sweet Chili when in Bozeman. No more. We quit. This visit was unfortunately a 2 star visit. Why would the chef put fish oil in the Chicken and Beef Basil? That ruined the taste of a multi flavored dish to that of old sardines? The gyoza remained very good. The chocolate layer cake, along with the Caymus Cab, was delicious and mostly killed the dead fish taste. The server Kerry was very pleasant; I asked her to tell the chef that I strongly disagreed with his use of an overpowering fish oil. She possibly chickened out. She brought no feedback from the kitchen. Or any other response. That is not the mark of a high class restaurant. ---- Next day, we just had a much better meal at Olive Garden. Half the price, no fish oil on chicken, chicken actually pan fried, not raw white as at Sweet Chili. What happened ? New owners? ---- My wife and I went back to Sweet Chili one more time. It turned out to be our last. Every item was bad, bland, tasteless, except for the constant fish oil. So now it's a two star restaurant.

I enjoyed the music. I like it when a resteraunt feels free to show their creative expression. Especially sense it’s a Asian fusion resteraunt. Mumford and sons quietly while I enjoyed my lunch was great.
They practice standard protocol but who cares? Stop perpetuating useless propaganda like cloth masks, which do not help anyone and are actually detrimental for health in these civilian contexts.
