First time here last night. I got the taco plate and a side of taquitos. Nasty nasty nasty. No flavor in any of their food. Rice and beans were old. The meat inside the taco was so oily and burnt and flavorless!

J&S has been a staple for the residents of Montebello and Monterey Park. Open 24 hours 7 days a week you can always grab a delicious quick bite to eat. If you do find yourself at this little place I recommend your try the shredded beef special quesadilla and a side order of taquitos ( don't like crunchy order guacamole fries instead) in the mood for breakfast grab one of their delicious breakfast burritos of bacon sausage and ham. I gave 4 stars strictly out of personal preference of having hash browns in my burritos instead of fries ( yes I know they are both potatoes).

We got the cheese and beef enchiladas, and they were very good. They came with rice and beans which were also very good. Simple and very filling. Mexican and American food served at a quaint, old school style walk-up window with outdoor seating. Cash only, open 24 hours and prices are affordable. The best type of place when you're hungry any time of day and night. We lucked out finding this little gem, and now we've joined the many that obviously know this place well. Try it out
