My family and I took our first RV trip which ended up being a last minute booking. I found Deer Creek last minute as well and they had one spot. The facilities were GREAT! With the gated park, you truly feel secure. The pool and playground were great to keep the kids busy while I got some work done in the morning. The wifi kept cutting out...but there is no reason to adjust the rating because they are very clear that the wifi is not high-speed and that it is shared. Directions are clear, bathhouse facilities were very clean and personnel were very kind.

Easy access. Wide drives with easy turn ins. Wide and long pads. Nice distance between sites that was grass. Playground for kids, dog run, horseshoes, several good fields to toss your discs. All well kept. If you need a place near Topeka, look no further.

This is a great park, especially for big rigs! It’s very clean with large, level concrete driveways and pads throughout. Grass between the spacious, wide sites, and other green spaces throughout the park that is very well kept. We stayed for a month, and the rate was very reasonable. It is very secure with an automatic, key pad controlled gate at night. We had little interaction with the staff, even had contactless checkin, so I can’t speak to that. No real complaints, but a few suggestions for areas of improvement; 1. a hot tub/spa and exercise room/equipment would be great additions 2. there a several OLD, not well kept rigs that appear to be permanent residents that are a bit of an eye soar for such a nice park. 3. water hookup seems to be an issue for some, I helped 2 people get hooked up, but the instructions are included and very clear to follow (just need to read the info package). I’m sure we’ll stay here again if ever in the area.

Great park, really! We were headed north to Michigan and Topeka was on our route. We had traveled for several days and wanted a place to rest for a bit. This park was well planned and spared no expense with what matters. Like wide concrete inner roads, spacious long concrete sites, excellent drainage (we witnessed during and after a storm), spacious separation between sites, gated, beautifully landscaped with lots of green spaces, and one of the nicest well kept dog parks we’ve seen. We especially enjoyed Shawnee Lake/Park within 5 minutes drive that has at least 10 miles of trails for biking or walking. Rates were fair. We will return.

VAN life, fully contained, no different than an RV. Are there sites available for this?

Should be able to there or at Lake Shawnee camp grounds. I've stayed at Lake Shawnee in my pickup with no issue.
