A beautiful lodge in a beautiful building. The members here are very welcoming. We came here for a crab feed and the food was excellent also. Full bar, great service, highly recommended!

My husband, who is an Elk from out of state in Lodge 974 in Michigan and two friends traveling with us went to the Elks Lodge twice to have a drink. The first time on Friday August 30, the bartender was a delightful woman who was very welcoming to us and the lunch server was friendly and accommodating as well. We had a lovely first visit. The second day we went, which was Tuesday Sept. 3, the bartender, who was a different server, wasn't overly friendly or welcoming to us but it was a little busier since there were two other tables being served. Today, Thursday Sept, 5, we came to the Elks at 8pm and there appeared to be a lodge meeting going on in another closed door room. We were in the club room and the door to the lodge itself was open. The lodge is advertised as being open until 9pm. There wasn’t any indication or sign on the door that anything out of the ordinary was going on. We waited for over 20 minutes before the bartender who waited on us on Sept. 3 came out of the meeting and said, “you should not be here and you’ll need to leave now. You are not supposed to be here. You need to leave now. You can come back after the meeting is done.” When I asked when it would be finished, she said, “I have no idea. We will be open tomorrow if you want to come back.” Now, we were visiting SF for a week. In the Michigan lodge where my husband is a member, no one would say something like that to a member of the public, let alone a fellow Elk. That bartender was rude and I’m not sure she realizes how she came across. Personally, I wouldn’t go back and maybe your lodge is doing so well that you don’t care whether you get visitors or not. Simply say:”I’m so sorry we didn’t have a sign on the door to let you know the lodge is closed because we are having a meeting, we would normally love for you to visit.” Sometimes you only have one chance to make an impression. Fortunately, you can now do something about it so you don’t offend anyone else.

Stopped by while in San Francisco to visit the local Elks Club in The Kensington Hotel. Got a nice tour and signed the guest book. Beautiful hotel also! Discount rates for Elks members

I have heard that you can get a discounted room if you are a member. Don’t know the details.
They don't do week passes as far as I know. If you're a member of another elks you can probably get in.
Not sure when it opens but ive been there from 7am to 10pm monday-friday
Yes, I have worn them over the years.
