Love the management here everybody is so easy to talk to and they really do their best to make things as good as they can for the residents. Good management makes a big difference in quality of life! Highly recommend living here you’ll be taken care of.

The front office staff has always been nice, however for almost two months now I've had an unacceptable issue with MICE. I laid down SIXTEEN mice traps (only one of those was from Sunstone pest control). After almost two months of having mice run rampant throughout my home, my brother-in-law found three holes and we had to fix all three holes with materials that we had to expense on our own. I advised Sunstone on a Thursday, their response was that pest control would be there on Tuesday (five days later). I found droppings in every single room of my two bedroom apartment (and took pics), paid cleaning companies to come in on multiple occasions, yet the mice issue still continued to come into my second floor apartment. I have advised Sunstone since January 2nd, that I have not slept in the apartment for several weeks (and they are aware), yet they continue to charge me rent. This is a great place to live as long as you don't mind mice running around your bedroom and throughout your home and you are willing to pay all expenses to fix the problem on your own.

I have lived at the SunStone Apartments for one year and one month. I wish I still lived there but unfortunately life interfered. The apartments are updated, they are clean when you move in, and they are modern. I lived in a three bedroom and in a two bedroom (we moved half way through our lease because our third roommate left). Both apartments were spacious. I must say, the three bedroom apartment has a space dedicated for a pantry (even though is not the best as it is deeper than larger). The two bedroom apartment does not. My roommate and I solved the issue by using the closet area next to the laundry, which was probably meant for towels and other products. It is a little far from the kitchen but it helped solving the solution, allowing us to use the cabinets in the kitchen for appliances and kitchen supplies, rather than put everything together and have less space. If you do not want to do so, I would suggest buying a small cabinet or something to use for the pantry (there is plenty of space in the kitchen to put a cabinet in). I mostly have positive things to share. The pool area is clean, the area in general is safe, but obviously no place can be perfect. Some of the negative aspects are that the people working at the club house and that help you with documents, etc. are not always the nicest. Sometimes they misplace your documents and rather than checking if they made the mistake first, they come for you instead. To clarify, they are not always mean, some are really sweet; let's just say that they do have an attitude issue at times. Another negative aspect, was that there was so many problems with the gate. Once it was closed, there were times in which our code would not work and we had to either go through the other gate or wait for someone to come through so it would open. People complained and they had to leave it open for a few nights in order to fix it. This happened at least 3 times in the last three months at the complex. I am not sure if they were able to fix it now. Lastly, if you are planning on living at the apartment with roommates to whom you are not married, know that there will be problems with the deposit check once you leave. They put all the tenants names on the check, and some banks do not allow one person to cash it. My roommate and I had to go to Commerce Bank (their bank of choice) and both signed the check and cash it there. Overall, I think it is a great place to live! The positive outweigh the negatives. It is also in a growing area of Wichita, with a lot of places to eat, stores, and developments all around.
