I've only been here a couple of times and have never had an issue. I go Sunday afternoon, pay for my items with a big bill and didn't count the change and it wasn't counted back to me. I go to do laundry and find I'm short changed $10. Its not about the money, it's the fact that the money was handed back, all together with the receipt like I was not going to come back and say anything or the fact that it happened all together. It smells of cigarettes and ammonia when it does get cleaned. I will not be returning.

I'm only giving them a two because some of their items are priced pretty fair. I used to work on this location and it hasn't changed much at all. If anything it's gotten worse than it was before. They don't put items up on the shelves but will leave full carts of stuff in the aisles making it hard to get through especially if you are pushing a cart. Very disorganized. Now they don't want to allow women to carry a purse inside or they want the purse left at the counter. Sorry not going to happen when we don't know the clerk and it's not one of the best areas in town to even think of doing that in the first place. They should ask politely if the customer would please take their purse to their car or leave it outside with someone they trust. Granted I know their is a lot of theft in that store and others but they shouldn't be allowed to demand someone's purse. maybe if the associates paid more attention to what is going on and the store was more organized they would know what is going on there. I tried to tell them years ago when I worked there to clean up the store and pay attention since they only normally have one associate at the register anyways. The person doing the stocking can walk around and put items up in various spots of the store to keep an eye on customers if they are that worried about it or hire a third associate for more eyes on deck. I only stop there when it's convenient and I don't want to drive to another store in another location in town. I prefer shopping in Maryville or Savannah these days.

Won’t be going back. Extremely rude clerks gossiping behind the counter when I walked in. One of them yells at me, “you can’t have that bag in here!” Shocked, I said “my purse?” She shoots back, “you can’t take that in the back of the store”. I said, “well, you don’t want my money then”, and left. Ridiculous and discriminatory.

Went to Dollar store on 22nd and Frederick today 809 North 22nd to be exact up on entering the store I was told to leave my purse I shot back I will not leave my purse on anyone's counter I just want to grab some bleach the lady proceeded to call the cops on me because I wouldn't leave my purse up there would not let me get my bleach and had me I am banned now from the neighborhood Dollar general because I wouldn't leave my purse mind you I'm not the only lady in there I am the only one that she told she told me twice before the first time I let it go this time she called the police on me had me embarrassed humiliated and then banned me from the store
