Nice location. A bit buggy. Friendly neighbors.

We visited as guests of campsite owners who graciously got permission from their neighbors to allow us to tent camp nearby. As we were the only tent campers in the entire facility, we also were the only ones using the bath-house and showers. I have to glow-up the showering situation, for 25¢, much to my surprise, we got enough perfectly temperatured water to wash body and my long fussy curly girlie hair. We expected to have to clean the bath-house ourselves because we were the only ones using it, but were surprised in a happy way to find that some wonderful elf had come in and swept/mopped/refilled paper towel when we weren't noticing.

The bathrooms were terrible. It's a country bumpkin place no doubt. Yet, if you're looking for some quiet time on a lake or quiet country roads the this will do. I'd not tent here but if you are self contained i.e. RV and don't mind using your own facilities then this is a good place. It's quiet and right on the lake, good place for small kids to catch Sunfish and enjoy the lake, great views of the country and if you cycle then Route 207 is a good route, decent shoulders and challenging hills. Again, if you use your own facilities this is a good place, if you need to use theirs don't come here.

Due to new management the camp has transformed over the past 6 years. Customer service has improved greatly, the park is always tended to (gravel being put down on roads, trees trimmed, electrical wires fixed), and there are now many fun-filled events on weekends. We highly welcome both newcomers and anyone in the past who may have had a sub par experience to join us for a weekend and discover the place you soon will be calling, your home away from home

You have to be sponsor by friend or family member it is a coop community
This place is no longer a campground. It's an association. You can no longer rent a site without being sponsored by an owner. I would say no campground in CT will accept unaccompanied minors in their campground. So I would think they would have to be18 or older.
Lake Williams Campground is now owned by Lake Williams Campground Association, Inc. A new website has been created that is maintained by the Association, and you can access it using the Website button here. The Association will only be able to provide for camping on a seasonal basis for the 2018 season. The Association has campsites available to purchase if you would like to join the co-op, and there are additional sites for sale by the current Unit Owners. Check the new website for more details.
The LWCA (Lake Williams Campground Association) is unable to support camping on a daily/weekly/weekend/monthly basis during the 2018 season. The only option available is signing a contract to stay in the park for a full season at a cost of $3,250, from April 15 to October 15.
