A truly enjoyable dinner and experience. This little gem in the rural corner of northwest PA is a must stop for dinner. The menu has a variety of dishes for just about anyone. From appetizer to desserts you will get something good. The service is always friendly and makes you feel at home. In fact, if you ask to be seated in the older dining area, you will feel like you are a guest at relative’s house. If you are local or traveling through the area, I highly recommend a stop here, a drive along French Creek, dinner at the Venango Valley Inn, and you have felt like you have had a little get away vacation.

Great fairways, rough not too bad, very tough reading greens! Love this course.

This restaurant had been recommended to me by some friends of mine for a while. Decided to give it a shot and am certainly glad we did. Food was excellent and the staff was nice. Looking forward to returning here in the future.

We were there with friends, and had driven several hours to get there. We're serious foodies and cook to a good level almost daily. My wife usually finds us places to eat that have interesting menu items or something that draws us in. Our friends picked Venango so she went through the menu during the drive. They need a better menu writer. The descriptions had us wondering what we would find. Things seemed contrived, like someone kinda knew what they were doing but not quite. Swave and deboner is the best example of our impression from the menu. However things were infinitely better in person. My Bourbon bacon chop was quite good. My wife had the scallops magnifique which included a crab cake. Hers was excellent also. The best surprise was the price. With salads and drinks we spent half as much as we'd spent at home in the Virginia suburbs of DC. The historical building was a treat too, following our lunch at Jean Bonnet Tavern on the way up. A pair of 18th century spots. Magnifique!

I personally am not aware of any women teaching pros in the area. Teaching professionals include: Jack Hobson, at Venango Valley and Dave Smith, at the Golf Dome in Erie. I think both are excellent instructors. Good Luck and have fun!!
