If you see a husky running around with a collar & tags she lives on the private property there, her name is Lyca and her owner says she gets out but comes home. She is super sweet & friendly so don't be afraid of her.

Ok so went hiking to Stoddard falls and slide found an amazing trail to walk on for our hike so it wasn't much of a hike more like a walk but a little bit strenuous on the path coming back up. The walking road was paved just old the creek was within sight the whole way down the trail and one could go down to it whenever they wanted to. I took some pics so everyone could get an idea of what the terrain looks like . I'll be going here again for 😊 sure.

Bunch of beautiful trails, everywhere, to get good hikes/workouts. Don't trash these MOUNTAINS!!!! Stay in the city, if you can't act civilized.

Nice little spot. Would be nice to have more spots like this that attempt to maintain "raw" California with all the biodiversity we have. A good mix of chaparral, oak woodland and riparian habitat. Sycamores, oaks, pines with a mix of buckwheat, yucca and other chaparral species. Can explore the creek, do some rock hopping, stroll on the old road, hike to the peak, hike the falls or just meander through the wash. Now the rant. Seriously Californians, why do we have so little pride and respect for our wild places? Beer cans, broken glass, towels, underwear, socks, bags of trash EVERYWHERE. With trash cans literally 50 feet away. Seems to be more and more typical of southern California these days. No respect, no pride, no appreciation. The few people that have respect for our public lands can't pick up all your trash all the time. Have some respect, leave it like you found it.

From Manker flats less than a mile . 1.4 miles round trip.
Yeah at certain spots
I have been there several times and never had a permit. Police officers rolled by my car few times nd never told me anything about needing a permit. But best thing to do would be going to the visitor center and asking them... I park on barrett stoddard road
Yes you can, but you need to get a permit from mount baldy visitor center.
