ShopRite of Brookdale

This used to be my go-to grocery store, but I'm avoiding it moving forward. They came up with a rule that if you buy more than 5 items, you have to buy a bag from them if you don't have your own. I don't want to be bullied into buying a bag if I forget my reusable ones; I should be allowed to take the items I purchased out to my car in my cart, just like at Costco or any other grocery store. This policy defeats the whole purpose of the bag ban, and feels like they're just trying to wring more money out of their customers.

One of my more frequented ShopRite locations. The recent remodel has made efficient use of the floorspace, to the extent that the store seems twice as large in some areas. Solid produce section; consistently fresh in my experience. Also, one of the few ShopRite locations in this area to carry alcoholic beverages in store (i.e., not in a ShopRite Liquors). Odd, sprawling parking lot; there's always space, but you might have to walk. Very helpful, and courteous staff.

The girl at the courtesy counter was so nice and helpful I didn't expect it to go so smoothly. The prepared foods were delicious especially the smoked kielbasa. Got a sausage and pepper sandwich cooked while we waited and my fiance gave it an A+ and it was only 5.99. Someone I work with goes there and gets breakfast for us sometimes and it's always delicious. The bacon is crispy and the hash browns are perfect.

Excellent quality, value and services. Under these very difficult conditions this store has really been great. I’ve been coming here for close to 2 years. I’m handicapped and the store provides convenient parking and scooter to use. Home delivery service is excellent. Thank you
