Don’t go by the name, Green Dragon Tavern & Museum is a restaurant with historic setting and an All-American style menu with lots of elevated dining choices available. It’s inspired by the original Green Dragon Tavern in Boston where meetings leading to the American Revolution took place, hence the name. What I tried from their menu - 🍗 Boneless Buffalo Tenders 🥗 Baby Beet Salad (my favorite) 🍕 Vegetarian Pizza 🥘 Seafood Mixed Grill Trio (another favorite) 🍨 Churro Sundae (yum!) 🍸 Strawbasil Martini 🍹 Green Dragon This is also a great spot to hold weddings, corporate meetings, holiday celebrations and more. Apart from this they also house a FREE admission museum with a private collection of documents and antiquities that connect to America’s heritage and history. So plan a day in Carlsbad and stop by at Green Dragon Tavern and Museum with kids, family or friends to experience a culinary delight and a little bit of America’s history.

An awesome place to dine. I was pleasantly surprised because I had no idea what to expect. Due to covid the last two times I visited they were not open. It's a wonderful restaurant with a casual menu located along with a civil war museum. We had a chance to browse the museum shortly but would like to return. The food was fantastic and the atmosphere was very hospitable I would say home like. I'm going to add to my review because I made my second visit today. It felt even more at home, but beyond that I absolutely loved their lobster rolls. I had the Connecticut Lobster Roll which is served hot with drawn butter. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures. I was much too busy stuffing it in my face. It may be the best lobster roll I've ever had. I did however add a few pictures of the dining hall. If you get any type of chance you should definitely check out this restaurant and museum.

Great restaurant. Love the history of the museum. The food was great. Claim chowder was the bomb. The wife and my son got 2 different lobster rolls which are huge and super good. I got the fish and chips very good as well. The libations are excellent. I will be back for a meal and to spend some real time in the museum.

My husband ordered boneless spare ribs and it was amazing. I ordered Connecticut lobster roll and although it was tasty, it was very dry. I don't think I'd order it again. My strawberry 🍓 basil martini was scrumptious and the service excellent. Fun place for a group.

Historical documents of the beginnings of our government. 👍Feels Like One Just Walked Into A Place In Boston, my home town, and it's a replica of the original location 😉
Yes on Christmas Eve. I would call to find out about Christmas day
Made Thanksgiving reservations there in early November and still barely got in at a reasonable hour. They close early on Thanksgiving but do have a feast
No. It's an eat inside place with a bar section and a diner section.
