I bought this coffee today at 10:05 AM. When i got home, I noticed the expiration date. I mean, black coffee doesnt really go bad, but this expired almost 5 months ago. Yikes...

I love Smith's this location The Manager's and employees are all fantastic helpful! Never had any problem's always able to find everything. Been shopping there for 10+ yrs but we Moved back to Connecticut almost a week ago. Been shopping here in Connecticut at Stop n shop and I must say it's expensive here a big can of coffee here is $12.99! I wish Smith's could UPS item's to me! Even the meat is expensive. I do miss Smith's and everyone that works there! I want respond to a post that someone put pics up on taking temperatures of food by law they have to and it shouldn't be distributing they taking Temps of food! I was a Chef for over 22+ yrs and worked alot in Hotels buffet's you must take temps of hot and cold food there is a certain temp hot food must be and same with cold food because there is a Danger zone if hot or cold falls to which is unsafe and they can't serve it to the public

Shopped here 15 years or so, I remember when this store first opened. Over the years it has remained consistently great. Always good prices, kept clean and shelves always in stock. Staff has been consistently great over all these years. Of all the smiths grocery stores I have been to over the years, this is by far the best.

So this is a decent store clean and orderly for the most part. Most employees are friendly and courteous. However, this is disturbing to me . Now the person who got my friends order had on gloves but then this employee comes up behind him a few min later taking the food and sides temps LIKE this. Come on now with COVID and for hygienic purposes, and it appears as if the employee bites their nails. Please do better and glove up, anytime your handling food in any manner.
