Located in touristy Chestnut St where parking is ATROCIOUS! If you plan on going please uber or plan to walk 15-20 min after. I called Fireside asking if they are buying used vintage cameras they said yes and then NO when I arrived. WARNING: - If you plan on selling here ASK SPECIFIC QUESTIONS ON MODELS they will buy otherwise waste your time. - EXPERIENCED SHOOTERS AVOID ITS A TOURIST SHOP. The shop selection is meh plus the area is hard to reach even if you wanted to buy film here there are better options on castro or poke st where it's a lyft ride away from a pick up or drop off. Overall its was ok the guys were sassy and nice the price of film is the same as other shops.

A tremendous thank you to all the Fireside Camera staff for assisting me. Your professional and courteous manners were wonderful and I will definitely shop at the store again!

I bought my Fuji x100v from Fireside, and they helped set me up with really great peripherals at a modest price. I had a problem dropping it 6 months into owning it, and the suggested repair options were daunting, and while they had a good referral to a local shop that did repairs, it turned out not to be workable - too sensitive an area, requiring factory ($$) service and I was looking at an expensive repair and long absence in use. I got a call back from Fireside saying that I had purchased a guarantee on the original ticket, and the camera would be repaired or replaced as per the terms of the guarantee. This is what happens when a local shop gives good advice (they had recommended the guarantee) and follows up in an emergency. Which they did. Thoughtful and prompt.

Fireside Camera sends film processing orders out to a Swan Photo Labs. The basic service for color film takes about 2 weeks. Please call for more details.
Currently, we have the Sony NP-FZ100 in stock. Please, contact us again with any more questions.
sorry we do not but within San Francisco, you can try Oscars Photo Lab or Photoworks.
We are able to remove film that is jammed or stuck in a camera. Sometimes the roll cannot be saved for processing, but mostly it can be.

In order to help protect our customers and our staff from COVID, Fireside Camera has several measures in place. We use plexiglass barriers to separate staff and customers. Our store is equipped with an air purifier unit. Staff disinfects counter areas and other surfaces after they are utilized by customers. Demonstration cameras are sanitized after use by customers. Items touched by customers are cleaned before being put back on the shelves. Hand sanitizer is made available to customers and staff throughout the store. The citywide mask mandate is strictly enforced, should the customer need one we will provide it (for those with breathing issues that find it difficult to use a mask, face shields will also be supplied). Gloves are also available on request. Our capacity is currently limited to 4 customers at one time.

Fireside Camera has Sony a7 mk.2 kits in stock as of the time of this posting. Check in when you arrive by phone to make sure.
hello, Thank you for reaching out to us... Velbon is probably the tripod and the scope itself most likely a Bushnell or Bausch Lomb. Regardless of which brand and if it's not too much trouble, just bring it by and we'll take a look at it. It it is truly broken, it may be beyond it's service/repair life. Kind regards, Ed
Fireside Camera cannot do maintenance cleaning where the camera is sealed. For example under zoom toggles, inside compact camera lens assembly, or behind DSLR focusing screens. The only cleaning service available is sensor cleaning on interchangeable lens cameras.
Fireside Camera does buy or trade-in cameras and lenses if they have some value. Customers are encouraged to bring in their equipment for evaluation. If a deal can be met, the customer will need to present a valid U.S., or state, ID and submit both an electronic signature and electronic thumbprint.
