As a career tradesperson and a diy homeowner, Home Depot is a regular go to for me, mainly for the convenience of the hours they’re open compared to supply houses. I’ve been to many of the Home Depot’s from Southern New Hampshire to the North Shore, but I like this one the best. Mainly because it’s close to home and I know where everything is but also because it doesn’t seem as ravaged and disorganized. Customer service isn’t perfect but it’s 2022, customer service these days sucks everywhere. A lot of the time I find myself being more helpful to other customers simply because I have the trade experience that the clerks don’t which I feel is understandable and I’m more than glad to share my knowledge and help others out when I can. I give it 5 stars based on my overall good experience over many years as a regular customer at this particular store.

I ordered a gas range online that was shipped from this location. It was stated that the delivery service would include disconnecting the old gas range, installing the new gas range, and for a fee of $30 they would haul away the old gas range. Upon arrival the delivery person told me that they were not licensed to disconnect or connect gas appliances. He told me that a plumber would come by the following day to disconnect the old and connect the new appliance for me, and that I could arrange for the old appliance to be picked up after that was done. He then went outside and brought in the new gas range with another man. He then told me that a plumber would actually be by in 45-60 minutes to connect the range. After 60 minutes passed I called Home Depot. Apparently, there was no plumber coming by, and they had no idea why the delivery person would tell me that. I am responsible for hiring my own plumber to handle the disconnecting and connecting of the old and new ranges. After I explained to the customer service person that they advertised connection of the new appliance with the delivery, she said all she could offer was an apology. When I told her that no where during the purchasing process does it mention having to hire my own plumber, she said she'd "make a note of it" on her end. So I had to hire a licensed plumber to handle this, costing more money, and then I had to set aside another day to schedule the pick up of the old appliance. They cannot schedule a set time, they only allow you to choose a day, then they notify you of a four hour window the day prior. Since I could only schedule on my day off I had to keep the old range sitting off to the side in my kitchen for over a week since they had no pick up days available earlier than that. Beware. If you order a gas appliance they will not connect it for you, and unless you have your old appliance disconnected before they arrive they will not be able to take it away, and you have to waste another day on that. It's misleading and deceptive advertising, and their customer service department could not care less about the inconvenience.

I need to fix 3 different areas of my house. Home depot always has what I'm looking for in stock. What I can't get answered on how to fix something from Google, there is usually an associate at the store who helps guide me on the process.
