It is a pleasure to hear from you! I understand what you are trying to do.. Typically all you had to do is open your .htaccess file on the old domain and write a 301 redirect rule and that would then point all the pages from that domain to the other. However, wordpress.com doesn't allow you to edit their .htaccess file... here's what they want you to do instead http https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/ I hope that helps
