This place has way more than you think!! I would be here all day writing down everything they sell, but it would be a shorter list of what they don't sell. If you look around your home, or your rv for instance, they have it. From silverware in your kitchen to lawn chairs on the patio. Even brand new items such as dishwashers and appliances. The store itself is probably at least 2acres filled with everything to build, redecorate or restore any habitable place. Make sure to make lots of room for whatever you find. If you go for something specific, be sure to take measurements and even a couple of mobile photos. And plan on at least an hour to shop, some of the best things are everywhere...

Like other reuse stores, just larger to include home goods, furniture and home repair items. I found unexpected things here and I suspect that unexpected items turn up regularly. I’ll be back!

I’ve been to H4H Re:Stores around the country. This is the worse one that I’ve experienced by far. Not even close. The pricing is unbelievable. I feel like they need new management. Selling often broken and abused items for more than they cost new is not a good look.

Large and practical inventory. Nice clean warehouse. Not crowded. CONS Service was dubious / kind of rude. Selection was so so.

Hi Sy, Thanks for asking! Our inventory changes constantly, so we cannot currently confirm what we have in stock online. We do frequently carry bathroom windows. If you visit ReStore Oakland one of our sales associates would be more than happy to help you find what you are looking for. Best, ReStore Oakland
I have no idea because I don't work there anymore. But I'm pretty sure they got some in the store.
Hi Kieu, Thanks for thinking of ReStore! Unfortunately, we cannot pick up mattresses, as we do not accept mattress donations. However, we do recycle mattresses at our Oakland location, so if you you can find a way to drop it off, we would appreciate it! Best, ReStore Oakland Team
They do take donations of building materials. You should always call to confirm before drop-off because some items have restrictions.
Yes
Most of the ReStore will accept items like that. Call and check, but I'm pretty positive the answer will be yes.
No, they are not open on Sundays
Hi Nancy, we offer a free drop off service for the mattress at our Oakland site. We don't accept bedspreads or mattresses as a donation. As for bed frames, we are overstock on this item as we've been receiving brand new ones from a corporate donor that we're only accepting if you have the dresser and nightstands with it as a set. For any additional questions about donations, please go to our website at BayAreaReStores.org. Thank you!
Hi Trish, Thank you for your interest in donating to us! In general, we can accept flooring that are at least 100 sq.ft. of the same style and color that are new. We would be able to send a truck out to pick up if you have at least a full pallet (roughly 100 boxes). Thank you
Hi Sharon! Yes, you can recycle your mattress and box spring at our Oakland ReStore location. You can drop them off anytime between Mon - Sat 9-4pm. Thank you!
Yes call Oakland store
Hi Sheila, ReStore Oakland carries all of those things! The specific inventory we have is always changing, so we ask that you stop by to visit, but these are all things we sell regularly. Thanks!
ReStore does accept drop-offs, thanks for asking! Acceptability is at the discretion of the store staff, but if the desk is in good shape and has resale value, we will likely accept it. If you're unsure, give us a call at (510) 777-1447 and our staff can provide more information.
Hello! We request that all donations be brought out to the curbside, into your driveway, or to an easily accessible part of your garage. Our pick-up staff cannot enter your home to retrieve items due to liability concerns. Thanks for asking!
Thanks for asking! ReStore does carry used paints, as well as recycled paints that have been repackaged.

I don't think so. This is a second hand/ salvage store
Hi Phyllis, Unfortunately, our mattress recycling program does not include toppers, and we cannot accept the mattress topper for resale. We really appreciate that you asked though! Always best to know. We will make it more clear on our site that we cannot accept mattress toppers for the future. Thanks, The Habitat ReStore in Oakland
You would have to call them directly to see if they would pick it up or if you would have to bring it in.
Yes. Check their website; for flooring, for example, there is a minimum square footage that's useful for them (ie, not scraps). The donations need to be re-sellable to support their work.
They have a few in the side where the wood is
I'm not positive on this but I'm pretty sure they don't want it if it doesn't get hot. they probably would tell you to bring it to a scrapper.
