I've had a few experiences here so far. The nurses are great, doctors are knowledgeable. Cloudia from the outpatient center was very nice helping me and my father out. I forget the young ladies name at the main entrance front desk, but she is always sweet to talk to. Tara was very helpful with my last experience here. The two star comes from my negatives experiences (all from front office staff or people managing the phones). Simple questions, confusion on their part, all leading to them sassing me and making me feel as if I'm the problem. I've never been so disrespected over the phone for just asking questions about my father's health and help for his aftercare routine. This isn't to try and lump all the office staff together, because some of them are amazing. But our problems always came from dealing with the office.

I don't know why this hospital got such a low rating? I had the pleasure of meeting some of the nicest nurses, doctor, front desk and Daryl the security guard. I was freezing and he went out of his way, to get me a blanket, and one for my husband. I think he was the most pleasant of them all. Dr. Perry was awesome, and listened to my concerns. I wish I could remember the name of my nurse, but she was awesome too! Yes the wait was a little long, as all hospitals in the emergency department. But you have to remember, first it's trauma, and the most critical, as it should be. The only downside was the girl who took my blood, she was a little cold. But other then that, I'll drive from Lewes to Milford to be seen in the future. Hopefully I won't need to see the emergency again, but no one knows what tomorrow brings. Thank you to Bayside Health

The ER and house doctors were very good assessing my Dad and speaking directly with us by phone. This was a really busy floor, but the nurses on 5B were fantastic--extremely compassionate and attentive to my Dad and our family. Meal services was very kind providing an extra tray or coffee/tea in late night hours. The main objective of patient care was exceptional. An FYI from a family/visitor experience, is there is currently no public access to the cafeteria for meals; so prepare to leave campus or bring in food. There was no space away from public areas to be able to quietly gather family or make calls when my Dad was passing. Some of the main lobby staff was unhelpful and actually rude at times. That was probably the only real negative I can recall in our time there. Overall, a good experience where it mattered.

My sister was sent to the ER by her doctor on Dec 26th 2021. It has taken me until now to separate emotion from fact and put down in words on how my family and I feel about the treatment she received. While we understand the duress the ER staff was under (arrived approx. 11:30am 12/26/2021, treated while out in the ER waiting room because no beds were available and released at approx. 4:45am 12/27/2021) the treatment she received by ER doctor Barry C. Turek was totally inappropriate and just plain wrong. One would think and expect, that an ER physician should be able and capable enough to handle himself under pressure. Otherwise he has no business being there and should go into private practice where his bedside manners are directly tied to his pay check. He was rude, belligerent and right out nasty. She suffers from Bipolar disorder and was extremely confused at the time. He showed no tolerance, empathy or at the very least, civility. He released her only to be readmitted exactly a week later (unable to speak and walk, unresponsive) where she received excellent treatment for the following two weeks as an inpatient at the hospital. It is not for me to evaluate his medical credentials however, in reading some of his reviews and by her experience, it stands to reason that the board, chair people of the hospital or the powers in charge should revisit his position in the ER. Very disappointed in this doctor as a physician and as a person. Enough to lose faith in the medical field.
