It was great not too many people there when we showed up at 2. Had a great day, parking was cheap lots of sun grills it was a great day. Update, there are leeches in this lake... big ones .. bring salt to get them off your loved ones quickly. Our 4 year old had one on her. Since discovering this there has been many storys unfold about the leeches in this lake.

Nice facility, well kept. Very rocky beach though. Bring your water shoes. Not great for a shore hugger my little one.

Lake Wentworth is a great place for the young and the old. The grounds are well maintained and the bathrooms/changing rooms are very clean. My 3 grandchildren ages 5, 10, 15 and myself had a wonderful day there today.

Nice beach, plenty of shade, picnic tables, ample parking, swings/slide. Restrooms, on site staff. Marked swimming area and separate boating area. Been coming here (and worked here a few seasons) since childhood.

We went last weekend and had too book a few days in advance fills up quick
There is a fee to entrr the park but once in as far as i know there is no extra fee for a kayak. The fee is well worth it as they fo such a great job maintaining the park.

The water is great. Really nice place to spend the day with the family.
No, pretty much the only state park areas you can drink on are campsites and some pavillion rental areas that I think you have need to have a permit for
The park is open now, for the traditional summer season, 7 days a week from 9am until 6pm. Arrive after 1pm & you pay half price. Be aware, there are favored tables & a loyal crowd of visitors. My personal advice would be to arrive at the park @ 8:45,,, 15 minutes before open to be able to pick from the better spots. It's a carry in- carry out park so bring a trash bag or two. There is an informative short video on YouTube. The place is a gem. It's secret is its size, it's small enough that if you get there early & pick your spot, it only ever gets MILDLY crowded. Bring ready made food or if you're of a mind, bring a small bag of charcoal which is perfect for the grills that they provide or your own table top propane grill.
