I've been going to this park since I was a little kid. There are lots of nice nature trails and the pond is great for seeing local wild life. We saw several turtles and a Grey heron this time. It's a nice place to take younger children who can't walk really far but get excited about new things.

Nice park with an abundance of trails going in different directions from the parking lot. A few creek crossing by bridge and several ups and downs. Pond is fairly small but does have catfish and a large koi.

Yes, on the south parking lot near the old house(NOT THE VISITOR CENTER) has a paved path to the east.

Park is open dawn to dusk. Weekdays 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Closed Tuesdays. Weekends Noon to 5 p.m.
It is relatively easy to find. The amphitheater is right behind the visitor center.
