Great place to stay for one night or longer! Discovery Park, adjacent to campground, is a good compliment to the CG. Clean restroom with shower.

I've definitely stayed at better campgrounds. Tent camping in 6in ch grass is not pleasant. Bathrooms had cobwebs everywhere. Good price and convenient to Lassen Volcanic. Wouldn't want to stay here more than one night.

Selected this campground because it was close to I-5, had electrical and showers. The setting is very nice with many shaded campsites. Electrical at my site was broken so I moved to another site. The shower house was horrific.. dirty, smelly and mildewed. They actually require a code to get into it. I had reserved two nights. I left after the first night. The campground host had piles of stuff laying around. The camper next to me said one of the campsites was permanently occupied by people that harass other campers, had been there months and refused to leave.

Pretty decent spot for being so close to the freeway. Awesome bird watching and neat trails around. Big shade trees in the campground and lots of oaks everywhere. BYO soap for the bathrooms.

No septic. There is a dump at the fairgrounds relatively close for $5
Yes our campsite had water and electricity. There was also an additional public water spigot a few yards away
If the gates are open it’s not shut down. The camp host is usually in the covered campsite across from the restrooms. I think number 14 or so?
I'm pretty sure that they don't have monthly rates. It's a US Forest Service campground, with a 14 day limit on all camping.
No, it is not thousand trails. You can book it through recreation.gov
There are several pull throughs power sites 12. 14 15 are me
In 2013, the dam was decommissioned and the river allowed to flow freely through the site in order to protect migrating fish. It is too bad that something couldn't be done with the facility.
I believe we paid $16 per night.
The site rec... Gov has an area for that fill out before paying .
At the southwest corner of the public camping area, near the groundskeepers buildings.
