Dr Houston is a amazing veterinarian! She takes the time with each animal and explains everything that’s going on to the owners. She is a caring and kind doctor. She has lots of experience with treating rabbits and exotics as well as dogs and cats. I can’t say enough good things about this office. All the staff are kind and professional. To those who expect never to wait at a veterinarian’s office….you must never have had an animal before make a visit to a veterinarian. I experienced this recently at Dr. Houston’s office. A gentleman was very grumpy and angry because he had an appointment to get to but had made an emergency appointment for his animals. You should never have a conflicting meeting on a day that your animal is needing care! It’s just a fact when you take your animals to a great veterinarian who cares about each animal, you are going to have to wait! I would rather wait and get good care then get in to see a veterinarian who isn’t going to care and rushed through the exam. This office is a blessing to the Sandy/Estacada/Hoodland area! Thank you Dr Houston and staff! We appreciate each of you so much!

I’ve been taking my dog go to Barlow since I’ve moved to Oregon. Dr. Houston has helped my dog mason grow out of his fear of vets. She is so kind to both my dogs and they love that she gets down on the floor with them and when they are nervous she doesn’t rush anything. She has helped me get the best treatment for my dog when he need a mass removed. Now working here I can see how much all my coworkers and Dr. Houston really puts their love into their jobs of caring for every pet that comes in and make sure they get the best treatment. I wouldn’t want to take my pets to any other clinic.

I went here for the first time today and they exceeded my expectations. My dog sliced his tongue so I had to take him in for an emergency appointment. All the staff was extremely kind and understanding with my dogs needs and they were quick to see him and treat him. I was in and out within 1 hour! Also, Dr Houston was outstanding, very knowledgeable and thorough. The price was also extremely affordable which I was surprised, especially with an emergency appointment. I will definitely be taking my dog here from now on

I had just brought my dog in for some much needed Dental work. Dr. Houston and her team are wonderful, caring people. How they maintain their calm, professional demeanor when they are so stretched thin is beyond me. Like everywhere else. Everyone is working longer hours due to short staffing. It is a constant challenge nowadays. The pandemic has made it really difficult at times. My dog is doing great thanks to Barliw Trails vet team. I also would like tell anyone who reads reviews. That if you want an honest, caring, professional vet team that really loves animals as much as their job. Don't hesitate to go to them.
