I have been going to Dr. Records for years, back when they were in Orono and the new location on Hammond St. I have bought over 200 LPs and 45s and they are always in good condition and am unbeatable price! I'd say it's the best record store north of Boston. Comparable diversity in selection to Cheapo Records and In Your Ear Records. It's almost impossible to leave with less than 10 albums at a time. Vinyl is the way music should be!

Really love the place. The owner is very knowledgeable and the selection is pretty large and is always changing. Fun to peruse. Mostly used records. Havent had any problems with the records aside from a cleaning, they have all played well.

If you like a selection that is eclectic and budget friendly, this is a great place to go. There are also CD'S and cassette tapes as well as vinyl records. It's an adventure shopping here, because you may find a new album each time.

Yes, most of his records are from people who bring them in to sell them to him. He will only buy albums he knows he will be able to sell so some you bring in might end up going back with you. One last thing, before stopping in with your vintage records give him a call just letting him know you plan on coming in with some records for him to look at. I hope this helps :)
He sells just about any type of music genre. Most of the stuff he sells is pre-owned so you'll have to stop in alot to see what he has. I've always found he has an amazing selection of music and his prices are extremely fair. Hope this helps :)
