Terrible customer service, the employees in the front act like they’re the ones being inconvenienced when I’m the one having problems because of an outdated computer system that they’re using. I’ve never had such a terrible time renting a vehicle. Thank god for enterprise !!

If I didn't have to I would not do business with them especially the location in Mount Vernon NY. The customer service is horrible. I've rented many vehicles and I've never seen a display of lack of professionalism like this in my life. When you rent at the airport you're treated so much better. They take you to the vehicle go over anything about the car damage, features the amount of gas in the etc. All I received was a point outside from behind the counter to a car parked outside which should not had been rented out. The vehicle was filthy. We are still in Covid the car wasn't vacuumed or cleaned prior to pick up. Several scratches and dents on the car. The worse thing was the food that dried up on the inside passenger door handle. I took pictures of the inside and outside of this vehicle to cover myself and immediately took it to the carwash because the mirrors and windows had some type of spray on them that impaired my vision. I took the car because it was almost closing time. They may have renovated the building but not the employees definitely need work in that area.

Do NOT rent from this place!! 1.- They give whatever vehicle they want. 2.- The car smells so bad. 3.- The car was on Empty 4.- They charged me $400 for “cleaning” when they were the ones renting me a car smelling like disgusting cigarettes. Never again!!!!

WORST HERTZ LOCATION I have ever been to in my life, even being their highest tier “presidents circle” member. When returning the vehicle, I parked directly out front and went inside and gave the employee my keys with a filled out rental return form (date, time, mileage, fuel tank level, etc completed), and they said I could leave. I left and then four days later realized I had four $150 per day overage charges. Apparently after I left they “forgot” to close the rental. I finally called corporate to resolve this and they finally closed out the rental and I got the receipt emailed to me. I checked the receipt and noticed they charged me about $50 more than the original rental amount. They erroneously charged me for “fuel” because according to them I didn’t refuel the vehicle, when I in actually filled the tank to full right down the road right before returning the car. I finally got it resolved by submitting photos of the gas station charge on my credit card to hertz customer support. 1/10 DO NOT USE this hertz location to rent or drop off. (In the past, at other Hertz locations if there were problems with the car, or the rental, the manager would give a slight discount for the inconvenience, but this was my worst ever experience and took several hours on the phone and texting support and I was given no credit or anything for all the trouble. Really discouraging.)
