I had a wonderful time out here. Peaceful, relaxing, quiet, easy walk. Only two trees fell on the West side of the park near the tree gym. Just go around it and have fun. I was looking for the 350 year old tree and pond, but the summer bloom was to thick to see. Maybe next time. Peace!

A nature experience in NYC. I love the trails, trees, perennials and vegetation. In Spring, the park awakens and comes alive!! After Central Park, it's the best in the City. 11 z.

The second largest park in Queens. The LIE, Grand central Parkway and Cross-island Parkway run through the park. Beautiful and great place for nature walk in the woods or engaging in various activities in the more open areas. The park also offers educational programs. A great escape to nature from busy city life without having to travel far.

Was here on March 19 2022 to do some vinecutting. Walked from Northern Boulevard down the yellow trail. NYC's Natural Areas Conservancy is putting a lot of effort into this park. The size of it is very impressive.

No. You don't need permission for using the grills at the park. You just have to arrive early to separate one. There is many people during the summer using the grills provided.
It's just a regular family park! Call them direct. However, caningham parkvhas it all!
Yes you do need a permit for certain spots in the park for sport activity. If you r early and occupy a spot you can use it. But when the permit holder shows up you have to vacate. There are permits for certain days only. For bbq you don't need permit. It's open for all. 1st come basis....
Hi yes there is i did not have any to eat but yes.
There is no zoo permanently located there, but there is a petting zoo there for special occasions, Easter egg hunt for example. If you want to go to a petting zoo or to see farm animals you can go to Queens farm museum which is not very far away.
They can ride bikes, scooters, skateboards, roller skates, playing in the playground, playing tag, hide and seek, jump rope, basketball, baseball, football, soccer, handball, running through the park, kite flying, play any sports, doing exercising and lots more plus you get to spend sometime with friends and family.
